3d Modelling
Delcam is a world leading supplier of CADCAM systems and I've been using
PowerSHAPETM since it's introduction in 1998.
It has full solid and surface modelling capabilties.
Creating a 3d model from exisiting drawings is one of my strong points, with a long a varied engineering background
I am capable of interpreting the most complex of drawings.
Previous 3d modelling assignments include;
- Cylinder Heads
- Cylinder Blocks
- Single and Multi-Stage Pumps
- Volutes, Impellers and Turbines
A lot of design work is undertaken in 3d CAD these days eliminating the need to model from 2d drawings but many of my 3d modelling
assignments have been for the foundry industry. When replacement pattern equipment is required for an old component that only exists
as 2d drawings, modelling it in 3d then generating tooling is much faster than alternative methods of conventional pattern making.

This cylinder block has become the theme for the website and it was modelled in less than two days as an experiment
into PowerSHAPE's solid modelling functionality!
